The course encompasses:

• Understanding bacteria and their impact on food safety 
• Strategies for preventing food poisoning Importance of personal hygiene for food handlers

• Effective cleaning routines Implementing food safety systems like HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) 

Successful completion and passing of the exam award you the REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene certificate. 

This one-day training culminates in a half-hour exam. It's interactive, with the tutor providing essential knowledge and encouraging active participation.


This course is being provided by Routes to Work.

To be eligible for this course, you must: 1. Be a resident of Clackmannanshire 2. Be aged between 16 and 67. 3. NOT currently be enrolled in full-time education. 4. NOT be working more than 17.5 hours a week.
